Curiouser and Curiouser: Adventures in Perception and Reality

Take a romp down the rabbit hole as we explore how the framing of stories affects our perception of reality and truth.  You'll see and hear a re-framing of these characters and stories as told by composers Richard Strauss, Roberto Cavalli, G. F. Händel, Lee Hoiby, Vincenzo Bellini, W.A. Mozart, and Jules Massenet.

Music includes arias, songs, and ensembles featuring the stories:

  • Dafne and Apollo
  • Ariel
  • Romeo and Juliet
  • Sophie, Octavian, and the Marschallin

Performers:
